I am a multi-disciplinary artist working in a variety of media: architecture, video, drawing and installations. My drawings and my installations are experimental conceptions of new realities in which the representational and real, objective and non-seen are of equal value.
  
My work is primarily process driven with a strong emphasis on innovative techniques and concepts.  As an artist, I am trying to be aware of the times we are living in and the people to whom I am addressing my art. I am interested in creating experiences that will enable the viewers to slow down, and to see behind the veil of the customary.

In the past few years, I have created a series of drawings of shadows cast by flowing metal mesh and paper structures, and I have made translucent drawings (glue on acetate) that cast shadows. I was interested in depicting the invisible and the presence of absence. To explore the boundaries of my working methods I recorded the sound of the drawing (also the presence of absence) and I made short videos that captured the drawing process (performance as drawing).
In my current work, I am trying to bring awareness of underrepresented living creatures (immigrants, the poor, and endangered species). I create traces (translucent drawings with glue on acetate) and I superimpose upon them videos from the public world.  The new reality equalizes the unseen and the objective in a new personal space defined by the viewer.
I believe that an integration of social, psychological, ecological, and contextual information is the foundation for the new language in art that aims at higher level of communication with the public.

As a designer, I have experience with a variety of highly unique design and art projects (lighting, custom glass, signage, video installations) and I have been involved directly in all aspects of the design process (design, management, fabrication, and installation). I believe that creative solutions can be applied successfully to all budgets (low to high end), and I hope that my portfolio demonstrates the ability to think creatively in a variety of projects and budgets.
